whats on the agenda today folks? freezing cold mud ride for the northern types no doubt? perhaps a bit of christmas shopping?
ive been away on course this week so am enjoying a lazy day in the house, have got some new things to fit to the bikes too ,thomson stem and chris king (removing from the enduro as its a bit too tall) on the stumpy, then cane creek headset and hope seat clamp for the enduro
ive gotta do some dog walking too so should be a good and lazy saturday for me.

I'm busy constructing an Ark.0
-
writing an essay about a fictitious village...yawn.
if i get it done today, then apart from my exams i'm 5/6's of my way through my uni course!! ARRRGGGHHHHHH!!!0 -
turns out an ark would be a good idea down here too!!
good effort ben, rather you than me. ive been having to do a lot of learning recently but mine tends to be alot easier than the stuff you will be doing i would imagine!!0 -
i wouldn't say that!I'm not joking when i say that Uni is just tedious this year. Its not really increasing knowledge anymore, its just learning what you need to know to pass an exam. My 2nd and 3rd year have been so similar, some of the lectures are exactly the same!
Booked my train home now tho, £30 return on the train isnt bad
Rain isn't too bad here, but its still freezing!0 -
how far are you travelling on the train, and is that for the xmas break?0
-
London to Preston takes about 2 hr 30... its 5-6 hours on the bus! going home for xmas, plus my dad is 65 on the 17th and my bro is 29 on the 3rd0
-
im having the day off work, nice warm room plenty of munchies0
-
as if the xmas period needs any more excuses for parties eh ben!!
lke the sound of your day jimbob, dont know if i'll get used to the new name though.0 -
Parents have just gone on holiday, house to myself, absolute bliss!0
-
i do love an empty house. i tend to waste the opportunity though by sitting round in my dressing gown, eating steaks and watching parmount comedy, (although it is snooker this aft)0
-
That's not wasting it, just what I like! Especially the snooker.
Though might have a poker night next week.0 -
I'm recovering from last night's work Christmas do. They made the mistake of opening up a bar tab on the company account and now I'm seriously feeling it! Was planning on a ride but it's not happening.
Race of Champions tomorrow!"The problem was, I was still using my eyes even though I had them shut"

ive never seen the race of champions but it was featured on the news earlier, looks coolio, is it on the box? do they race one car or a varied selection?0
-
Think it's on, maybe Sky Sports or Setanta.
They race quite a few different cars, there's a list on the website. Looking forward to seeing the Hamilton vs. Hoy race, bit of an odd one but should be interesting!"The problem was, I was still using my eyes even though I had them shut"

i always find myself watching the snooker. Some of their shots are amazing to say the least. I've only ever been on a full size snooker table once, and bugger me theyre big.0 -

My uncle has a full size snooker table, and they are huge! dont look too big on t.v but when your stood infront of it!
Wish i had the money and space for one, awesome endless fun0 -
i am so bad at snooker it would make your head spin but i do like the social side of it, makes for a decent afternoon out and a very goo foundation for a full day on the quang.
there used to be a social club over the road from a barracks i used to be posted at and we would often go across as honoury members on a saturday for some pub olympics, snooker, darts and pool followed by a few pints before a pub quiz or karaoke (i only do kenny rogers songs) then a night down town, god miss it!!0 -
that sounds ace. Me and my mates tend to hit the local and spend about £20 on the pool table... its not surprising that that more we drink, the worse we get0
-
haha, it used to go like that for us too!!0

We out to play together sometime - I bet I would rival you for the "Worst Ever Snooker Player In The World Ever" Crown."Melancholy is incompatible with bicycling." ~James E. Starrs0 -
