    Dave, all metal has a fatigue life, not just ali, but the steel is real guys find that a little hard to accept. For the record I love steel frames, but facts are facts.

    Increasingly I prefer ali frames - this seems however an unusual attribute in those of a certain age. I've passed beyond the rose-coloured-spectacles-of-nostalgia border to ...."it's lighter? It doesn't rust? I'll have THAT then please!" enlightenment!

    It matters not what it's made of. To my eyes at least it ain't pretty and that's an understatement. Beauty is, after all, in the eye of the beholder.
