what to drink in winter?

hey folks, first time back on my bike today since august ( see earlier thread) and was just wondering what drink would be best to use for winter riding,as i'm thinking water which i would normally use not very appealing on these cold winter days,or is that the only viabale option?? thanking you in advance for you help gareth

I find a nice tot of whiskey helps ;-)
I us the same drink in winter as I do summer, usually a diluted fruit squash or plain water if taking a lot of food and bananas. On a leisurely ride might sticka thermos in my backpack.
Don't underestimate water requirements in the cold, you can still lose a lot through your breath and those warm layers.0 -
