Recommended - great service - I had a small problem with one of mine well outside warranty period, took it up to Dolans, given a cup of coffee and problem fixed while I waited - no charge.0

Here's my baby. Almost 3 years old now and I'm hoping to replace it next year with another Dolan. Even if i won the lottery I couldn't see myself riding anything else. I'd rather give my cash to a small manufacturer involved in UK grass roots cycling.

Terry Dolan has been around for years making frames. I had a cougar from ooh - twenty years back or so - if they are good enough for Boardman and co - you know they are decent quality.0

Does anybody in this country actually make frames any more. I'm a tad confused on this issue as until i started looking for my first TT frame this year i actually believed the name painted on the bike made the frame.
From what ive read on here and other forums though i could easily believe there are only a few real manufacturers, mostly in Taiwan, and that several frames badged differently are actually one and the same.
Do any of Dolan / Kinetic One/ Planet X (and also companies like Dalkiia.......) actually manufacture frames or do they rebadge imports.

I've got a Dolan Hercules kitted out in Ultegra, great bikes and I've had no problems with the frame (or components).0

I think the Dolan frames are manufactured in Taiwan and designed in the UK.0

Dolan uses a lot of Deda frames, but will also custom paint them. I'm looking at a Dolan FXE for commuting.
I've got a Terry Dolan Ribble frameset !!!0 -

Invariably, only steel frames are made in house. Some manufacturers are set up for aluminium alloys also. I've never heard of UK built composite frames (apart from the secret squirrels, and other non commercial enterprises), which is either: surprising, considering the presence (I thought) of a healthy carbon fibre related manufacturing industry, or, indicative of my ignorance.0
