In my years of riding I have never tried riding on two different size tyres, as In one on the front and a different one on the rear. Does It make that much of a difference that It Is worth doing?
It's not a ornament, so ride It

Can do. Harder to control front wheel slides so people often benefit from running a wider tyre on the front for more grip.
  • Exactomundo - if you want a tyre to drift it's the rear not the front!

I run Kenda Nevegal's DTC SWS 2.3" front and 2.1" rear for that very reason. It means you can really load up the front, get your weight on the handlebars and carry a LOT of speed through corners. Drifting the rear can help further. Although my bike (Mongoose Teocali Super '06) is bloody good at getting both wheels drifting controllalby and thats a mental amount of fun!
