Hi,
Have a bike which now has XT discs. HAve yet to even ride it but am unsure about taking the QR wheels off and being able to fit the wheels back on and the pads being 'open@ in order to fit the rotor back in. Am I stoopid or is this something to consider?
Will I need to worry about them locking up if on long rides or anything like this happening as have read the odd comment about this sort of thing or am I being stoopid again?
What are the most common probs with them rhat I need to know about?

With the wheel out, don't press the brake lever - use a spacer in between the pads if worried about knocking the lever.
They will not lock up for no reason. nothing to worry about. If lever feel changes, may need bleeding. Keep an eye on the pads, and don't get oil on the rotors or pads.0
