i would rather suck a chocolate biscuit than a toe.Whenever I see an adult on a bicycle, I believe in the future of the human race.

Maybe now don_don will stop flirting with you.
No, I shall carry on. We all know Dave has a sharp wit and a warm personality and I'm a broad-minded chap. We mustn't judge a person by appearances alone you know.0 -

Is it cheating using my brakes(I'm on a geared bike) if its not then I can track stand yay! I reckon I could do a minute if I tried.
To be fair when I used to ride track I could just about do it, so I could do it on a fixed I expect."If we all had hardtails we'd all go down the hill, just slower"

A bloke was trying to trackstand the other day. He overtook me to get to a red light then was in front of me doing a wobbly trackstand, and kept throwing sly glances over to see if I was looking, before almost falling over and having to put a foot down. It was very funny.0

hey hey that's no way to talk about GregT he does his best.Rule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.
Rule #9 // If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.
Rule #12 // The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.
Rule #42 // A bike race shall never be preceded with a swim and/or followed by a run.0 -
Oh and I forgot the best part, how could I?!
He was wearing an ipod and as he wobbled and put a foot down, he kind of jerked his head around so it looked like he was incorporating it into some kind of dodgy dancing to the music only he could hear. Brilliant.0 -
Now that is stylin'. I especially liked the no-handed one. 8)0

Oh I remember Hans Rey! Me and my mate picked up a MTBUK Bike Riding Skills special magazine some time late last century (96/97) and it was practically our bible
It had all the usual tricks in it from the basic trackstand upto wheelies, bunny hops and endo's (controlled ones rather then teeth smashing ones...........)
I don't think using your brakes on a geared bike is cheating, although thinking about it now I'm not fully sure if I use mine, I try to if I think I can stop the bike rolling forward if I can't shift my weight enough to rock it backwards.
As with so many things it's all down to practise and with a few dozen traffic lights on my regular commutes I get plenty of chances!0 -
Feeling a bit pleased with myself this morning as I managed to trackstand for a whole light change :-)
I'm sure it's my longest one yet and it felt great, a few wobbles and a bit of a roll forward to relieve my leg but I didn't have to put a foot down!
I feel it is quite appropriate that I'm learning to trackstand at the moment as the newest lil BJUK is just learning to stand up, so I feel a special bond with him at the moment as we both learn about keeping our balance0 -
