Im 16, a college student nd i have no job because of stupid college hours, so due to this i have to rely on my parents to buy most of my bike stuff/kit, anyway coming to the point i obviously cant afford forks that cost a considerable amount of money, so me nd my bud have been having a competetion to see who can touch the most expensive and as many different forks as we can. so far im in the lead having touched some fox 36 vans, fox 40 and those cannondale lefty forks :) i was just wondering if any1 else is as wierd as us and has done somthing similar or is it us just being special??

Do you simply touch them, or give them a rub?

Are photos taken too to prove touching / rubbing?

yeah but how well did you do in university and i would like to get a job but cant because of two main reasons. firstly getting a half decent job with a good wage is near impossible at my age, especialy at this current time and secdondly i have ridiculous college hours which are just dotted around throughout weekdays and im not working weekends i gotta have time to ride :)

  • I worked a 32 hour week whilst doing my degree (which was pretty full time as it was chemistry, so 3 lectures a day, labs two afternoons a week) and I got my 2:1

It's just a case of being organised.

Definately, I'm doing my chemistry degree, raft guiding at weekends (8 sessions at £25 a session), and going paddling/cycling all the time I can in the week, I don't think I'd want to do it any other way.

still not an option for me though, i cant get a weekend job because my riding buddy only comes back from college at weekends and his college is miles away
