How many press-ups can you do?

I hate press-ups. I think it's the getting-down-on-the-floor bit as much as anything else, I just can't be bothered. Much prefer pull-ups.I started doing press-ups seriously when my girlfriend told me that her hero is Attila the Hun.0

im gonna give this a hundredpress-ups ago.100 cosecutive press-ups would be a big achievment. I am a big fan of body weight training ie. press-ups , pull-ups , and dips best way of training for conditioning and muscular endurance.
my typical day :-
press-ups 2+4+6+8+10+12+14+16+18+20+18+16+14+12+10+8+6+4+2 = 200
pull-ups 5 x 8 reps
dips 2+4+6+8+10+12+10+8+6+4+2 = 72nothing is ever impossible! your body will always adapt to what is ever thrown at it! always believe in your own abilities!0 -

I can do 25-30.
It varies sometimes I struggle to do 20, sometimes I manage 30.0 -
When I was in my early twenties and working out seriously I could do over 100 and have managed 100 in 1 minute. Now several rugby-inflicted shoulder injuries later I do sets of 12 but do them slow (at least 3 seconds down and 3 seconds up) and add other tricks to make them harder - eg 1 hand on a block or 1 foot raised while concentraing on core muscles. I could probably manage 50-60 basic ones in one go now.0
