6'4" and 34" waist.

I want some tights for winter riding (MTBing) that don't cost the earth - £40ish

Manufactures assume everyone that's 34" is a dwarf or 6'4" are fat bloaters. I bought a pair on ebay which looked ok yet when I put them on it looked like I'd taken a dump as the crotch was between my thighs and I had enough room for a nappy ...

Anyone of my athletic stature got a pair that fit? :?

Cheers,

PM

I'm 6'6" with a 34" waist, I expected the same scenario so bought some DHB leg warmers instead to wear with my normal shorts. Warm legs, whether you want to wear a nappy or not!

They do slip down a bit occationally, generally I pull them right up and over my cycling shorts. Not sure if they'll loosen up over time, seem very good now though, nice and fluffy inside too!
  • Nice one ... they might be the best option ...

    Fank koo!

I'm 6'3" and a 34" waist. I haven't really had much problem. I normally go bigger on the waist to get the leg length, but my recent purchases seem ok. Last set I bought were an XL pair of DHB bib tights http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/Cycle/7/dhb_M ... 360038993/

These are full of features and fit quite nicely, although they are not as warm as I would like and are not the most comfortable on long rides. Good price though!

The other ones I have bought recently are these Kona ones (XL) http://www.cyclestore.co.uk/productDeta ... goryID=211

They dont have any chamois in them, but I wear them with a pair of bib shorts underneath and they are a lot warmer and more comfortable for long rides. They fit fine on the leg and are a little large on the waist, but not as loose as yours seem to be. For £25 it could be worth a gamble...
  • Altura Winter cruisers, £25 quid Merlin, I'm 6'2" btw.

They're supposed to go under the bottom of your shorts, then they don't fall down.
