Hi all

I plan a trip into Town for my christmas presents from me to me.

I'd like to try on and choose from the biggest range possible.

Where has the biggest / best stock of bike clothes?

Erm so in what part of London is Leeds?

What part of trying items on in a shop can be done in the shop?

What part of wide range is a single make of clothing?

Is that what you do everytime someone tries to help and offer you advice?

Firstly, I said they don't have a shop front. But they do deliver their products all over the UK. So location, assuming you live in the UK isn't really a problem. If we must get anal about this. Also you can always return items that are faulty or don't fit, websites come with a returns policy. If we have to get really about it.

To be honest its not worth buying cycle clothing from a shop. Most internet sites give as accurate as possible a measurement while undercutting most retail outlets (and I for one find cycle clothing expensive, compared to other forms of clothing).

I made my suggestion in light of the fact that the price of clothing at the website would provide you with more for your money, a benefit that may sway you from shops and purchasing stuff from the website.

It was only a suggestion so thanks for throwing it back in my face. I was only trying to help. Good luck with your search.

You are totally over-reacting to the point of rudeness. If you'd read the OP he said he wanted a place where he could try on a wide range of clothing in London. Your reply missed the mark on all three counts, and it's fair enough to point this out, which I thought was done in a reasonable way.

You, on the other hand, get all bitchy Totally uncalled for IMO, especially with a new member. Behave.

Decathlon's OK and pretty cheap. Surrey Quays Tube....
Do not write below this line. Office use only.
  • Onyourbike on Tooley Street, just past the London Dungeon. There is also a small Evans nearby

Cycle Surgery on Pentonville Road near Kings Cross (Its on the ground floor of a large building that houses the plushest student accomodation I have ever seen)

Decathlon in Surrey Quays, lots of good stuff there although the clothes are mainly own brand (but still good).

    Hang on...

Are you a moderator? Even if you are, at what point do you have the right to tell me to behave, if I haven't (i) Been offensive to anyone. (ii) Directly insulted anyone.

At what point and do please point where in the following sentence:
It was only a suggestion so thanks for throwing it back in my face. I was only trying to help. Good luck with your search.

Is there an insult or even how it could be read as rude? In all honesty I actually mean good luck. But I do feel I have had my advice thrown back at me by Spen666 and the OP and all I was trying to do was help.

Yes, I provided an alternate option but it is a viable option, with its own benefits. It's like someone saying I live in England but am going to Germany to buy a Focus bike and me pointing them to Wiggle. Sure they aren't going to see it in the flesh and sure they may be looking forward to a trip to Germany, but when has suggesting an option they may not have considered become a bad thing?

The fact that I have actually tried to answer the persons question and at the time the only other replies, including yours, have been to criticise my suggestion is an irony which should not be ignored considering that you are telling me to behave and I was the only one who actually tried to help.

Thanks for your replies, and DaddyO please do chill out. Thanks for your suggestion even though not quite what I was looking for. I didn't mean to offend you in any way.

Does anyone know what Condor is like for clothes?

  • Condor is excellent for clothes and imho the best in central london. Try going at non-peak times (i.e. weekdays during the day ro very early at weekends)

Extensive selection of hi-end kit (eg Assos, Rapha). Lots of styles, lots of colours, lots of sizes.

Bargains are on the bargain rail. Not in the main bit of the shop though.
Swim. Bike. Run. Yeah. That's what I used to do.

    Bike 1
    Bike 2-A
  • they have lots of what I would call mid-range as well

  • This forum is amazing, in the time it took me to type my suggestions, two others had already posted them
