i was watching a film t'other night and the main character slipped a pair of wireless ear phones into his ears to listen to his ipod. do such a thing exist and if so where from?

i have tried to do an interweb search but all i can find are the great big feckers you use with a big old sender in your house.

I'd guess if you can get them, they'd be astoundingly expensive - the ear buds would have to have some form of tiny battery and transceiver unit in them

I'm thinking artistic licence is at work here... but if you do find some please post the link !

  • argos are selling sony bluetooth headphones with bluetooth dongle that plugs into the bottom of your ipod, 40 quid reduced from £80, look pretty decent but maybe a bit big and bulky if you wear gregory''s while cycling.

shop around though, get them from US somewhere for much cheapness

Sound quality is meant to be far inferior to standard wired headphones, or so I have heard.

just bought these from argos and they are amazing!!

the quality is very good, the sound is excellent and the range is ace, i could tuck the ipod into my sock if i wanted (althoug i wouldnt!!)

they are very comfortable and feel like my current phillips earphones. it is suprisingly liberating to have no cable!!

my fave feature is that the right hand earpiece has remote controls for the ipod (im using a touch) so i can control the volume, skip and pause functions, ideal for when i am running as normally you have to activate the touch screen then cycle through to the now playing screen and use the touch screen function buttons which isnt always easy when on the move.

finally, the dongle runs on ipod power and the headset is rechargeable and it can be used as a bluetooth headset for you mobile so you can listen to calls or music stored on your mem stick.

    cheers for the link.
