Giant Trance 3 or Mongoose Cann Comp???

Right going to get a new bike next week and need peoples advice/experiences/views of these 2 bikes. I've read everything about them in magazines but want real rider opinions.
I can get them at the same price of £685.06.

What does everyone think? :)

    Definitely go for the Trance 3... Excellent bike for starters and very good for upgrading!

    Hey,thanks for the reply, i see you have a xtc sx,i had exactly the same bike - was great but sold it. What size frame did you have on the hardtail? And is it the same size as your full sus? What are the standard forks like on the trance?? :)

    I have a medium frame Hardtail and a large full sus!

    The Tora forks that the Trance comes with are o.k... took mine to Coed Y Brenin and did a good job over there for a weekend. They are heavy though so I replaced them with Revelations -They look better, weigh less and perform a lot better!

    I love my XTC SX... Have pimped it up and replaced every part other than the stem and it now is a superb hardtail with competitive weight!! I don't think i'll ever sell it.
