While browsing around local mountain warehouse shop noted a set of manually operated dynamo bike lights. http://www.mountainwarehouse.com/Outdoor_Equipment/Torches_Headlamps/sc1433/p13744.aspx It doesnt say what wattage the lights are but would save a lot on battery costs. 1 min winding giving 90 mins lumination, enough for commuting?
2 Wheels or not 2 wheels..That is not in question.

These will be pathetically un-bright - please get a very bright and noticeable light. Using NiMH rechargables is the way to save battery money.
