Greetings from Peru.

I'm trying to make up my mind on deciding which FS bike I should get. This will be my 1st full suspension, after enjoying a Trek 4300 for the past 4 years. Most riding I do is XC, with a lot of climbing and not very agressive descending. The highest drops are about 50 centimeters.

I've ridden both, and I like both! Any suggestions?

Thank you for reading!

  • Both excellent, capable bikes. No real reason not to buy either, so get whatever fits you best or you prefer.

Roscoe is slightly longer travel, I think. 140mm vs 120mm?

So for the type of riding you describe, I'd say the Trek would be spot on.

My friend's just bought one and it's very versatile, very fast and great to ride.
  • Think the TREk is 130mm travel - that gets my vote as I have one! Couldn't comment on the other bike...

You'll have a laugh on both I bet...

The Roscoe got rave reviews in the press but I can't offer any personal experience.

  • Thanks for all your comments. It would seem I'm leaning more towards the Trek EX 8.
