Hi All,

I am building a flip-flop fixie from this tt frame:

Barron-TT-dets.jpg

The current Miche headset is shot - I was gonna rebuild it, but ultimately I would like to remove it from the frame and put a new on in. Should I:

a, Get a 1" threaded headset, quill stem and bars
b, Get a 1" threadless headset + stem convertor + pinch bolt stem and bars.

Cannot decide - whichever way, I intend to make one bithcin' fixie (with flip-flop hub)

Any thoughts?

    Quill and threaded headset
Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos

if you have issues getting the old cups out of the frame you may have the decision made for you...

depends on whether you can source a quill stem easily enough that is the right size for you (ebay?)

I'd say quill as well as I think it would look neater than an adaptor

wot the others said tho - nice frame !

you should have no trouble finding a suitable stem, there are plenty of Cinelli 1" stems on Ebay, also try here for stems for sale

    Spec is looking like:

    VO Threaded Headset
Nitto Quill Stem (I am still tempted by the conversion)
    Nitto Track Bar
FSA Crank + BB (Very light - Probably 48/18)
    Halo Rear Flip flop wheel
Ritchey WCS Front wheel (or whetever I find on Ebay!)

Seatpost will be silver and either a Tri- Trip saddle or a Charge Spoon.

Handlebar tape will probably be Cinelli Italian Flag (as I have some at home!)

    Whaddya think?
