Hey, i cleaned up my bike this morning and left it to dry out so i can put some lube on it...when i came back and lubed the bike i spun the rear wheel and now when i spin it it sounds like there is water inside the frame...which probably isn't possible...ot is it...?!

can it be a damage rear hub?

thanks for any advice

remove the seat post and turn the bike upside down.

If the noise is coming when you spin the bike wheel then I bet the water is in the wheel. Let the tyre down for 24 hours and the try it again. If it still happens then strip the tyre and tube and dry it out. I get the same on some Mavics I have. The water gets in around the large valve holes on the wheel and slushes about until I clear it out.

i tell you what mate ...it's exactly the same problem...and if that's the case omg i owe you...i just locked up my front pistons on my juicy 7's and wasn't very happy tbh and then when that happen..i just freaked out that it might have been the hub xD fewww.....

off topic but any of you guys know the ebst way to get a jammed piston out!? i know you need a compressor but any other way to do it, by the seems of it looks like i got some mud inside can just about see the outer side of the piston and i can see the little dirt inside ... :(

after doing quite some looking into i realised that the bearings were totally mashed up....i've managed to put them back in but need to buy some new ones and some grase too....on this note...any guides or methods of doing this....or is it preety much standard?

i have a shimano deore disc rear hub.

That's why I put the valves to the bottom when I store the bike in the shed. Even when I think there's no water in the rims and the bike is dry there can be a puddle under each wheel the next day.

the noise went away when i opened up the hub and put it back together, it was the bearings stacked up on each other... :/ dont know how that happaned but am guessing its when i took my cassette out to clean.

Like a noob i cleaned up the grease so now its totally dryy :/

gona buy some new bearings and grease by tommorrow and replace the lot front and rear...star fresh again ^^,
