I live in the South of england,as in portsmouth area and am looking at getting into xc racing, but have no idea as to where they are in my area. I dont even know where to start looking. Are there even XC races in winter? i assume there are, but ive googled and can't find any round here. does anyone know of any? Thanks in advance!

there quite a few series about in the winter
The nearest to you is the soggy bottom winter series in newnham park

The Gorrick races are very good and there will be the 5 round spring series starting in a couple of months and not that far up the M3 for you. There are the Southern XC rounds as well, some of which are possibly within driving distance
