has any one use both and can you tell me what one is the better all round.

I will more than likely move the front to the rear and replace the front. Is that the right way to go, or does the maxis make a better front.....

and finaly

do you think that haveing one red walled and one black walled is a massive trail No No

The first link to the 2.35 Highrollers; great tyre I ran them on each end 42A up front with the 60a in the back. I also ran the rear tyre backwards- better climbing grip. |Currently just bought some Swampthings for winter, but not tried 'em yet..

I run a 62a 2.1 high roller on the back - they look skinny but even hooning down Afan on my Five it held up well and rolled frighteningly fast - bit crappy on the front if things get moist - doesn't like changing direction...

not a good morning Heating company manic.... all this dam working gettign in hte way of hte internet.

Its the maxis XC high roller looking at going for the 2.1, Im thinking of them as i can get 2 for the price of one XC pro. So wearing out is not going to be a massive problem as long as theywill work as a good all round tyre as where i ride i get sectiosn of rock , road, mud, loose pack and hard packed and ofc some deep wet gloop. .... got to go 3 phones rining again

  • I run 2.35 HR's, ST front and max pro 60 rear and i love them. I think they are still one of the best all round tyres, good for anything from tarmack to deep mud, except on steep muddy uphills where they start to slide around a bit. When it gets really muddy i sometimes run a Trailraker on the back, but as soon as it drys up a bit i go back to the HR. I would replace the other XC pro too though, as i think they are as much use as rapping a big rubber band round the rim!
It is true that if you lean the bike over slowly then you can feel them slip untill the side knobs dig in, but if you throw the bike into corners like i do it's not really an issue :)
