Pottering in my shed,

I am a firm believer that "pottering" whether in shed or garage should become an international sport, with an olympic discipline.

However, I will be pottering over Christmas (with my newly fitted shed lights and heater) and building a fixie.

I have a 1980 Barron time trial frame - not the lightest, but pretty good for it's age. Seems to be sturdy and strong

Things I will need:

Wheels/hubs/tyres
Quill stem and bars
Possibly new headset
chainset (chain and sprocket)
Brakes (Caliper and lever)

Any thoughts on parts, I suspect this is an English thread BB shell - can anyone verify this?

Wheels may be the tricky bit....

Roll on winter/Christmas pottering!

    Pottering is fabulous.

Here's a thing - I think you need a vernier gauge to measure the internal diameter of your seat tube.....

That must be worth a good half day getting one and then measuring things.

    You can thank me later....

Give Barrons a call. I think they're based in Stow, near Lincoln, I think.

It might have been one of their first frames.
