I currently have a 50/36 compact Truvativ chainset with an 11/32 mountain bike cassette, and was wondering how easy it would be to upgtade to a triple chainset.

My bike already as a SX-5 triggers which are triple compatible.

Don't know anything about MTBs I'm afraid, but you may have to lower your front mech because your outer chainring might be smaller. I don't know if you'd need to buy a new front mech to accommodate a triple.

No difficult in swapping to a triple. You might need a new front mech depending on what you have now. It might be worthwhile getting a new chain while you are at.

I'd look at the Shimano hollowtech triples - easy to install the BB and chainset.
