Hi, first post here and just looking for some advice. I have a Giant Boulder mountain/road bike with shimano v brakes. I'm looking to change them to shimano disc brakes. I see this as an upgrade. :?
But, i'm not 100% sure that my frame can take the disc brakes. I have a pic of each one and i was hoping someone could enlighten me as to whether it is compatible...
im pretty sure this one is...
Clicky...
not sure about the back one though...
Clicky...
excuse the mud..
Also, will i have to get new hubs to put the actual disk on?
thanks in advance!
James.

yes you will need new wheels (easier than new hubs and may be cheaper)
it looks like an A2Z disc brake adaptor will work on that frame."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I needed a new hub for the rear, although I figures that it was cheaper to buy a new wheel and a new cassette. Those parts cost me nearly double than the actual caliper and disc itself.0
