I've just read a topic here and there was a comment about broken zips and it was a problem.
Is it a big problem, are we being sold duff zips ?
My Altura windstoppers zip is starting to get tricky to start at the bottom( about 18 months old). Can these windproof zips be bought anywhere as I don't want to have to discard a jacket just because of a zip problem.

    I think people should look to Altura for a repair, and it should be free of charge.

    Could be similar to the problem I had with a jacket- you'd zip up the zipper but the as it went up the zip behind it would come open again. What I did was squeeze the zipper gently with a pair of pliers, like this;
    .............V
    ________
    [...... |.........]
    ........|
    [___ |___ ]
    ..............^
    ..............Squeeze here, to slightly close the bit that you push the other half of the zip into.
    Ignore the dots, they're just there to get it to format properly!
    Not sure thats what you mean though?

    My problem is the zip is coming away from the jacket.
