Had my Speedplay Zero's a week and noticed last night that the right hand pedal had quite a bit of grease that had escaped around where the pedal body meets the "leg" its attached to....is this normal?
It spins about 180 degrees, slightly more so than the left hand side pedal (probably somewhere between 90 and 180 degrees!).
Cheers, Stu

  • and the left one hasn't?

Either a missing seal, or they over-filled it when assembling.

The Speedplay website tells you how much they should spin. I think it says a quarter turn, check it out. Call them if your worried they are helpful. I haven't noticed any grease coming out of mine.

It says it should not spin freely and no more than half a turn....mine doesnt go any further than this and isnt "free" like a normal pedal.
