Might be to do with your weight!Note: the above post is an opinion and not fact. It might be a lie.0

Assuming you didn't do my favourite trick of pinching them as they went on...
Were they old tubes?
They'll perish over time.0 -
Is your rim tape in good condition? I had a spate of blown tubes due to a sharp edge of the valve hole biting into the tubes.0

You've just put new rim tape on, and now you are getting punctures?
This is a conundrum. :?0 -

Brand new innertube, brand new cloth tape, brand new wheel, maybe the tyre as it has a v. small tear in it :?winter beast: http://i497.photobucket.com/albums/rr34 ... uff016.jpg

Find where they are puncturing and fix the problem?0

did they both blow in the same place? did they blow when riding or as you pumped them up?We are born with the dead:

1st one blew about 10 mins after inflating it, 2nd blew as i was pumping it, it was rock hard, have checked the wheels, no spokes sticking out and both in different places, only bought the pump today, maybe it's faulty :? Did make a very loud bang, unfortunately i bought a replacement tube from halfords and the fookin thing wont go through the hole in the rim (valve is to big) so have to wait till tomorrow to try again :xwinter beast: http://i497.photobucket.com/albums/rr34 ... uff016.jpg

Random puncture - I had one two weeks ago. I'd just done a 50miler in the rain, but couldn't be bothered cleaning the bike then, so I put the bike in the shed. Came to get it out in the morning to wash it and I had a rear flat. Took the tyre and the tube had a starburst like hole on the rim side of the tube - no damage to the rim tape - really strange. It took me two patches on top of each to repair the tube - just one patch wasn't "strong enough".0

Bear in mind that with 110+psi that a sharp edge does not have to be showing thru the rim tape to p*ncture the tyre. The tube will severely squash the tape so that what might appear to be minor hidden sharp edges become significant. We are born with the dead:

Maybe i should put another layer of tape on?
What do you think? I can feel some edges sticking through :?winter beast: http://i497.photobucket.com/albums/rr34 ... uff016.jpg

"both in different places"
were they inside or outside?
reddddragon: do you wash your bike after every ride?!0 -

Oh yes, always wash your equipment after a dirty ride.0

She's alive!!!
There was a small tear in the innertube which was causing it, as pointed out by some-one on the forum, many thanks
Has Cost me about 150 quid to get her back on the road, the new freewheel seems fine with my 105 shifters epart from being a little bit out but i've bought new gear and brake cables so will fit them tomorrow and see if a bit of tinkering can get that sorted, then just some new bartape and brake blocks and my winter steed is back on course for another 10 years of faithful service 8)winter beast: http://i497.photobucket.com/albums/rr34 ... uff016.jpg

Just say you're from the same stock as cycling prodigy Gesink!Note: the above post is an opinion and not fact. It might be a lie.0 -
I've shown them a pic of michael rasmussen, they are idiots and seem to think to be a good cyclist you need to look like a bodybuilder
Can be quite frustrating, but ah well they're arrogant and think they know everything then get defensive when proven wrong :roll:winter beast: http://i497.photobucket.com/albums/rr34 ... uff016.jpg
