Carbon compund paste

Do you use such when placing a post in a carbon frame bars stems etc?

If so which brand,how dod you find it?

Seem to read more & more of stuck carbon posts!

    Yep, I use a torque wrench to tighten to specified tightness and use Tacx carbon assembly compound on the seatpost etc, before inserting it into the frame.

    Does exactly what it says on the tin :)

    Works great, no mess, and good for carbon-carbon mounting, or carbon-alu or steel assembly...

  • Pace also make a carbon compound that is pretty much the same as the Tacx stuff although I've heard its a bit coarser.

    Its not as common among retailers but I found some at bikegoo.co.uk.

    Might be worth considering.
  • I've used the Pace stuff since it came out about 18months ago seems to work fine. Certainly stopped any slippage. I just Googled it.
