I know well all lust after the latest shiney bit of kit, but who has the oldest beloved steed here? I'll kick off, and expect to be surpassed.

1985 Holdsworth Professional 531 Pro, still on its original headset. It was originally built up with Campag Super Record, but is now on a mixture of Chorus and Record. The original wheels are still serviceable, although not on this bike. I did a couple of circuit races on it this year and found myself quickly distance, though that was probably my legs.

1964 Viking challlenger - still with it's original paintjob, but actually that's not a badge of honour...

One of my posse has a 1955 Flying Scot - in fact he's got two of them, but the BB shell got ripped on one.

I went touring with him from here to Spain - his bike got a lot of attention from other riders and made me think that my brand new Super Galaxy was a bit like an estate car at a vintage rally.

I've got a Holdsworth Cyclone Deluxe. I can't say for sure what age it is, but believe they were in production from 1949-1952. It was my dad's, when he was a lad, and I just got it restored to it's former glory.

1984 Flying Scott, had since new, still on orginal wheels etc

Alos a nice 1983 M C STeel, 531c With mainly orginal exquipment other than bottom bracket and concession to SPD SL pedals

Both going still going well and I would guess the Scott is a bit of a collectors item being one of the last handful built by Rattray's before they closed down

As it happens I am looking for an old bike at the moment...... Watching a 1950's Claud Butler on e*aY at the moment. Had a 1940's New Hudson Racer but stupidly sold it and now want a similar bike...... twit...

Current old bikes in regular use, 1985ish Holdsworth 531cs I rescued from a pile of rubble [bent wheels and the like but now in weekly service] and a 1950's touring type Raleigh with flat bars and dyno hub etc, very nice but a bit of a lump to be taken seriously.

The trailer towing/work bike is a Raleigh 501 MTB from the 80's.... the poor abused thing :D
