  • Another vote for the Gatorskins. Permanently on the winter bike and few punctures. (I ride Fortezza Tricomps on the summer bike and they seem pretty reliable too; I change them when I start to get punctures. Recommendation on gatorskins is a PSI of 110 to 120 and as TomBombadil says, this is the key both to puncture protection and wear and tear.

    One thing worth considering, I keep my bike in the office at work, and its pretty warm. Pumping it up to 110PSI in a freezing garage leads to a much higher pressure at work. Boy did a few people jump when that tube blew!
