I'm guna try and get a cpl of my mtb'r friends to come up with me, the Kuota got a compact and a real pussy casstette so hopefully.............................

The cannondale got man gears, prefer them on my usual rides but think my ankle would snap if itried that on the c'dale

Havnt tried it yet but plan to next year when I go to Malham YHA along with one a little closer to home called Winnatts Pass between Castleton and Edale.

mmmmmmm ....... I might be going close to Winnatts tomorrow.

With a nick like mine i'll have to have a look at it at least ......

Check out the 2 videos with a few shots from Hardknott in the beginning. it's so steep, you gotta see it to believe it!

I go close to Winnatt's pass quite often, and keep meaning to have a go at it, but I always find some excuse, and I ride a triple at the moment!

I remember a weekend ride I did in the mid 80's.

Rode from Barrow-in-Furness through to Broughton and up the valley to Hardknott and Wrynose. Dropped down through Ambleside and rode down the side of the Lake to Bowness. Nice B&B, a couple of pints in the Hole in the Wall pub and some fish and chips on the benches by the steamer jetty. Headed home the next day via Hawkshead, Coniston and Kirkby moor, then down to Ulverston and back along the coast road to Barrow.
