Don't really see why people would try and 'fake' them but just don't get the huge saving on rrp, any-one care to enlighten me?

I wouldn't worry. That's more or less the price that some on-line bike stores sell them for.
a serious case of small cogs0 -
I've bought them a bit cheaper than that from reputable companies - two from (I think) a co like Probike kit or Ribble when they were on offer and a pair from the promotional one day sale that tours the country.0

That's ok then, just the recent review from this site states £36.95 each :shock:winter beast: http://i497.photobucket.com/albums/rr34 ... uff016.jpg

How have you found the tyres Stefanos as Decathlon sell them quite cheap due to their being a french company and the Michelin factory is very close to the Decathlon factory hence no shipping or very minimal shipping costs as it is classed as an internal movement of stock.
I havnt used them as the max pressure for them I beleive is 116 psi. That sounds a shade too soft to me because of my weight. I like a tyre I can pump up to at least 120.
I use Ultra Gator Skins and find them good for me. 1607 miles since 10 Sept and hardly any wear showing on them.0 -
I'm guna brave the wilds of winter on my Kuota tomorrow as my Cannondale is temmporarily out of action and i'll flip if i've got to pay a fiver to add 20 mins to my journey on the bus again, but need to pump them up more i think, my gp4000 tyres are sweet on the c'dale but was a bit disapointed with the pro race 3's to be honest especialy as they were upgraded from 700x25 basic bontragers, hold tight i'll let ya know tomorrowwinter beast: http://i497.photobucket.com/albums/rr34 ... uff016.jpg

Sounds good!! I am out on a ride round Hathersage in the Peak District a 100K ride that is officially being organised as an Audax Ride on 7th March next year but just want to try it out now to see if I can do it on the new wheels and block ive just bought.
The Wheels are sweet!! The hubs just run forever! Not a brand name like Mavic etc. Just some wheels ive bought from Decathlon with aero spokes originally priced at £170 but reduced down to £130 as they werent selling particularly quick.
The Block is a 12-25 8 speed Sora whereas the previous block was a 13-26.
Im starting at about 9:30 and expect to finish at about 2pm. Will let you know how its gone

That looks like a cracking ride, it'll take in some lovely scenery!
I'm looking to do some longer rides next year, and I haven't done a 100K'er yet, so I might see you there, as you go past me...0 -
