nasty gash

Just picked up this months MTBUK and whilst I was reading through, I noticed a lot of nods towards severe injury and almost certain death (there was even an article about extreme paramedics...). So I was wondering what the worst injury you guys n gals had ever suffered through riding??

    Mine would be a two inch cut, surrounded by a 6inch by 3 inch blue bruise, from cannock :)

    Fork blade(not mine) through my left knee, dislocated right shoulder and loss of skin from nipple to thigh......I didn't get up from that one :roll:

    I'm currently recovering from a broken ankle, my spd wouldn't let it go and i heard this nasty cracking sound.....

    Can't wait to get back out on my bike!

    i came off a bmx a few years ago, and skinned my face. i ended up in hospital having gravel pulled out of my face with a pair of tweezers.

    put me off them for life

    I did exactly the same injury and have a matching scar... did mine in a car accident though :roll:

    I'm currently recovering from a shattered wrist, Clipped my mates back wheel and then did a superman impression only to land on my wrist!!! It's been plated and screwed back together.

    I'm counting the days untill I can go back out.
