Route Advice, Clapham Junction to North London

I've been commuting from Crouch End (North London) to Waterloo for 13 weeks. It's 7 miles there and I always take the quickest route (train to catch, never leave with time to spare).
On the way home I've been taking extended routes as I enjoy it too much.
In the evenings, just about every train I get stops outside Waterloo for what seems like an eternity, waiting for a platform to become available.
I was thinking about getting off at Clapham Junction, as I'd rather be cycling than sitting on a stationary train.
Can anyone suggest a decent route from Clapham Junction to Farringdon that's not too stop/start - does one even exist. I was thinking of heading up to the Albert Bridge and then along the Embankment - guess I'll be going in the opposire direction to everyone else?
cheers

reckon that sounds about right to be honest, if you come down Falcon Road, along Battersea Park Road, over Albert Bridge, along Embankment and up from there, although you could go through Battersea Park and over Cheslea Bridge for some more pleasant (albeit brief) sceneryRoadie FCN: 3
