Quick question. When changing my cable I pulled the old one out and it brought out the cyclinder with hole that holds it in place in the lever. Sorry I don't know the part names. Is it a case of pulling the lever and slotting it back in or Do i need to fix it somehow?

Thanks in advance

Basically yes, though threading the new cable back in can be a bugger at times.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
  • Thanks, I was worried that i'd not fix it in and have a problem on a steep hill.

The cable is held in place by the tension and the clamp bolt on the calliper, make sure you get the cable in the inner and not beside it and under the bartape.
