Problem with Boxxer world cup 06

Hey,
i took the lowers of my world cups apart to re oil them etc etc and twat of a little brother pushed the thinner silver 'rod' all the way up into the upper of the leg so it was flush at the bottom (got it back out of the upper part) and all i heard was a noise that sounded as if air had escaped.. this is on the rebound leg and it will not rebound after this happening. Any ideas? and if so will it be a hard thing to fix or just a simple oil top up or something of the uppers?

rebound leg is just oil.

you will need to make sure that you have the correct weights and volumes of oil in it after reassembly.

so just take the uppers apart empty oil, and put 3-5 ml of 5wt oil in (as recommended by rock shock) and see if it is back to normal after that? If not i will take it down to my LBS or closest shop that does fork servicing. (At the moment the rebound leg will not rebound at all, once compressed it stays down)

the rebound leg does nothing on its own.

is it just one lot of oil?

I would be replacing all the oil.

I will try stripping it all down and replacing all the oil.
Will get back to you after i have done it.
