Holding handlebars still

Hi,

I've started doing more home maintenance to my bikes. I use a park tool stand, but can never keep the handlebars still, and cannot think of an effective way to do so. Anyone had simular problems and come up with a cost effective way of doing so.

Thanks

Velcro strap through wheel to downtube, or bars to toptube?
Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos

Was just about to post the same thing! I put a length of velcro around the downtube and through the wheel. You can get a roll of thin double-sided velcro for about £3 per roll.

There is a gadget especially designed to do this

Angle the front of the bike downwards.

'Laccy band round the valve and wrapped around the dountube and back round the valve but this becomes useless if working on the front wheel.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
