Having had my seat post and saddle stolen, it has put the fear in me.
So, what insurance do you have covering your bike?

Home insurance...
Also, DDD, I was thinking if you have a QR seatpost clamp, it's pretty easy to switch to a non-QR. Also, you could permanently lock your saddle to your frame.
Just a thought.
I also have BCF third party cover.0 -
M&S home insurance is very good for covering bikes.
(PS, if you keep your bike outside your house it is worth investing in bolted seatclamps and keeping a spare (cheap) post and (comfortable but cheap) saddle)0 -
Home insurance with Halifax.....if Halifax still exists! Also have CTC insurance for those "off" moments.0
