Endura Dexters, pretty damn warm, kept my hands warm on Saturday despite the bike freezing up  . Don't think they're particularly waterproof but they seem wind proof and are warm. Only downside is the first pair came apart on the stitching on the first ride last year, the replacement pair have done better. I've heard criticism of Endura stitching from other people too.

    I've bought a new bike....ouch - result

i dont think they make mtb secific versions but seal skinz are mega gloves, they actually feel warmer when they are wet!! they are wind proof too so your hands wont cramp up when going fast (that is rarely a problem for me!!)

interesting point, i had bad stitching on my endura shorts.
  • I've had nothing but trouble from all Endura gloves, they fall apart way too easily.
Sealskinz are OK, but you have to be so, so careful removing them as the inner bunches up
Best ones I've found so far have been Specialized Deflects. Specialized Radiants nice and warm but a bit too bulky.

Yeah my Humvees aren't great either, heaven't fallen apart yet but there's definitely loose stictching.

Sheepteeth, I think Sealskins do do an MTD glove, WMB reviewed a pair in their winter gloves test this month and I'm sure I saw a pair in their little catalogue thingy I picked up on Saturday.

+1 for Endura Dexters. I find them pretty good. Very warm and windproof, but not waterproof. I think i paid £16.99 for them not long ago

I mostly use Sealskinz MTB gloves unless it's really cold then I use Specialized Sub-Zeros (with both gloves). My hands were too warm if anything last night with the Sub-Zeros (although being 2 gloves in one you can always take the outers off) Not sure how they'll be in the rain though, the outers are supposed to be waterproof but the extended cuffs look like they could be a bit of a rain funnel unless you have them underneath a jacket.
  • Another tick for the SealSkinz MTB gloves. They are incredibly warm, and there is no loss of 'feel' on the bars.
  • this is lovely people recommending sealskinz but which ones? any particular?
wiggle basically has, for sealskinz winter gloves:

SealSkinz All Weather Cycle Winter Gloves
    SealSkinz Technical Windproof Winter Gloves
    SealSkinz Technical Winter Gloves
    SealSkinz Ultra Grip Winter Gloves
SealSkinz Waterproof Breathable Mountain Bike Winter Gloves

all at different prices and different styles
theres also the liner, hi-vis and womens...

just in from an afternoon ride, 3c with a nasty wind my hands were warm the whole ride but my feet are a different story, need to sort that out :(

    on the hands were,
    SealSkinz Thermal Glove Liners

SealSkinz Waterproof Winter Technical MTB Gloves

my pair of endura strikes are useless under 10c as they ar'nt windproof, maybe faulty?
  • I think my sealskinz are technical winter mtb gloves or something like that and they are quite good but they are a pain to get on and off coz the lining get's caught up. Nice and warm though
