I am looking at getting some Blackburn panniers for my Hardrock commute bike (It's a 2005 hard tail) with 175 cranks.

Searching through some previous posts I see people are worried about the heel hitting the panniers, can anyone comment on this setup? I have size 11 feet.

Getting a bit fed up of a huge back pack!

Thanks all

There's a bit of play on most good panniers. The 'tongue' bit at the back can be moved by loosening the screws. Adjust to suit.

My Altura panniers are fine on my Hardrock.

Yeah, you should be okay - you can adjust the clips so the panniers can sit right at the back.

You can also get a pannier rack that fits to the brake attachments and I think the hub, it sits quite a bit further back on the bike.

I didn't know Blackburn did panniers as well as the racks (goes to google).

Sorry guys I meant pannier racks! Do you think the Blackburn EX range will be OK? :)
