I can't make up my mind which frame to choose for my new cyclocross project, I have a very limited budget these days so it has to be as cheap and cheerful as possible.
So if you had to pick one which would it be?

ITB - you're in the height of cyclo-cross season, so I'm not sure you'll get the best deals now. Might be worth turning up to a couple of cross races to see if anyone is selling frames or bikes. Drop David Belcher a PM - he's into cross racing.
Alternatively, the Kona Jake is cheaper, and so are Focus bikes.FCN 2-4.

I have just bought a Kona Jake 09 and it is awesome! Really well made, tiagra gearset, decent saddle. Wheels will need an upgrade, as will tyres but the stock ones are pretty decent for the money.
Havent used it other than on the road so far so cant comment on how it will deal with the more rough stuff - though it feels nice and solid. Worth £700 imo.0 -
I'm hoping to build a sub £300 bike without wheels, Dolan had a cross frame + forks +headset for £165 but have sold outRule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.

I've been sitting on the settee all evening plotting how I'm going to fund and justify the purchase of a crosser frame and fork...I can use the compact for any hilly sportives etc.FCN 2-4.
