Just wanted to say a big thank you

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to the two cyclists that stopped to help me after I had my off yesterday morning at the Temple Gate/Bath Road round about in Bristol. Sorry I didn’t get your names but at the time I was having trouble remembering mine. I do appreciate you waiting till the ambulance turned up.
Not to sure of the exact details as my memory is a bit patchy but I think I lost the front wheel on some gravel or maybe diesel going round the corner and I went down hard with the bike. I’m fine apart from a fair bit of gravel rash on my legs and am now minus one tooth at the front of my mouth. To be honest I was never going to win any beauty contests anyway . I’m off to the dental hospital later to get some temporary dentures fitted.
Not that I want to start off the whole to wear or not to wear a helmet debate but my new helmet has now got a rather large crack right where it sits on my temple and I’m sure the outcome would have been a lot worse had I not had it on.
Any way thanks once again to all those who stopped to help. I really do like the fact that cyclists all try and help each other out.

Eek, sorry to hear about your accident - glad it wasn't too serious. And kudos to the fellow cyclists who stopped and helped.Pain is only weakness leaving the body0

Sorry to hear about it, sounded very nasty - hope you recover soon (pear cider will help!) - Would have helped but I was on the A38 getting blown sideways at Filton airport in the north of the city.0

It isn't an airport just yet. That will come when the new houses are builtI've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0
