Part of my commute is down a 3 mile unlit trailway connecting two towns...a great commute but not in the dark. The craze for the biggest ball busting lights that can easily light wembley stadium is now under way.
Just to compound things that little evening summer club of mountain bikers have now got lights....and the bloke with the brightest lights goes at the front of the line.....his job is to warn the rest of the line that a blinded cyclist is approaching....he shouts "bike approaching"....he doesnt need to shout as the rest of the line can see me from a mile off....with his big boy lights..me shielding my eyes and cycling towards the ditch
its like the needles lighthouse on wheels
is thats you...or if you have some fantastic new super duper lights and you are not on the road...do us a favour and point the things down when a fellow cyclist approaches
ps wimborne to poole if thats you
