Lost my Cateye rear light on the Embankment yesterday pm

My Cateye LD1100 - a rear light with 2 rows of 3 LEDs facing back and 2 LEDs facing out each side - fell off on my way home last night at about 7.00-7.45pm. I expect it was still flashing on the road. So if anyone picked it up, before it got run over by something heavy, and felt like returning it, I would be hugely grateful. Slim chance I know, but worth a try eh? Thanks.

Can't help you with finding yours but if you need to get a replacement, I got mine from here.
It was the cheapest I could find on the web.

I have heard about other people having problems with theirs coming off.

    Not just me then :)

Mine fell off coming down a long 14% hill, but I only discovered it was missing when I got to the bottom. By the time I got back up the hill, someone had driven over it. I'd only had it a week

Is the LD1100 that much brighter than the older version? I have the older one, should I upgrade?

I recently broke the mount for it, and was sold the new mount. It was crap! And I returned it. Luckily found a replacement mount at the bottom of my box full of bits and pieces.

My last light that fell off was detroyed within moments by a truck. :?

According to the blurb, the LD1100 is 80% brighter than the LD1000

I know! It doesn't sound to believable though...
  • I specifically bought the rack I now have as it has screw points for the 1100, so there's no way I can lose mine.

I looked at the little clip thing and thought that I would never trust that to stay on anything and got the screwdriver out

I have one too and it was almost three times as much as my smart half watt super flash - and it isnt as bright. Replace it with two smarts - you always need at least two rear lights.
