The pedal tapered part wont screw into the crank hole so the hole must be worn down or something it wont go in what can try to sort this?
There anything I can jam in with it as temporary job although dont seem this working as tried multi purpose ultra strong cable ties and they snapped.

  • Firstly, are you sure the pedals are going into the right side! (honestly the treads are different)

From the sounds of it you can just push the pedals into the holes but they just drop out? Is this correct?

If this is the case then the cranks are knackered, it is possible to get the threads enlarged and the cranks heli-coiled, which shouldn't cost too much, you'll need to go to your local engineering works as it isn't a bike shop job I'm afraid.

If it isn't the above then pictures of the pedal threads and crank arm threads pls!

Are you sure you have the correct size pedals for your cranks? they come in 2 axle sizes....1/2" (more for 1pc bmx, kiddies stuff) and 9/16" (3pc bmx cranks/mtb)...you will kill the crank arm threads if you jam/wedge them in..check the size on the box

    please explain more.

    will they not fit?
will they fit but there is no thread?
    are they the correct size?
are they the right way around?
