Thanks for the reply. If they are not officially open is a case of having to sneek on or can I just park up and go. I was hoping to get there this Monday. If so whats the best place to park up and will I need any maps?
Oh censored , just seen you said monday - the shops shut on a monday so you may have to follow your nose - if you find a new looking trial stay on it is the best advice I can give you
I was there last week for the first time and I have to see its really good - but as itys not marked out I did find myself going round in circles sometimes.
That said - theres so much discovering to do there, it kept me busy for about 6 hours. I followed the main roady things and then just swerved off the main path everytime I saw a bit of singletrack - its quality and well worth the trip!
There is nothing more unequal, than the equal treatment of unequals!
I have to agree, at the moment it is quite hard to follow a "route" I have been riding there for about 10 years, and even now I'm getting confused
Yeah it's really good for use up in Derbyshire, climbs well for a 37lb bike but descends awesome, certainly tames "The Beast". Used it last week for 24 miles in the snow and heavy wind last week, 4250ft of climbing, 4250ft of descending and loved every min. Would never use it round the pines though, nothing in there warrants it. I'm constantly getting held up riding downhill by people who ride the "downhill" on big downhill full sussers, full face etc when i'm on my puny Scale. Makes me wonder why they need them
Anyway, glad people are finding their way around the pines, I think they FC would struggle to waymark it at the moment as they'd need loads of temp waymarkers. Plus they're not helped by the theiving scum who remove them. We had a race in the summer there which had one section obliterated by chavs nicking signs.
Once it's done it should be good, although i've still got to question some of the design - I mean drainage ditches on the OUTSIDE of corners FFS, especially when it is obvious that the water will drain to the inside on many of them.

Best thing to do is ask in the shop, and don't bother with the 30p map, it only shows fireroads.

When are they hoping it to be waymarked?
I went last week and didn;t find it all, however I went today and it just went on for miles and i really enjoyed it.
The new XC trail does start on the exit out so isnt that easy to find!
