Wondering why British Cycling are so anti a 6 at Manchester - anyone have any further insight here?

No insider information but a couple of observations:

6 Day races don’t work that well on 250m tracks – it really needs a track of 200m or less to make the spectacle. If the interviewee has been involved in Sixes for 35 years, one would have thought he’d mention that little fact! The question and reply in the PEZ article just strike me as mischievous.

Didn’t the outgoing BC chief exec attend the launch event for the London 6 Day being planned by Tony Doyle for next year? How does that equate to "the British Federation aren’t keen on the idea"?
    I’m a sprinter – I warmed up yesterday.
