OK, i was all for bunging on a set of cheapy rigids and mudguards on my GT Arrowhead hardtail, until the weekend when i was doing a bridleway run and most definately needed the mud clearance!!!
I've pretty well given up on the full mudguard thing and just need to replace my ancient "Indy S" forks, (which to be honest have served me well for a decade!!).
What to get? Budget is running to around £60 and looking at either Rockshox Dart 2 or eXotic aluminium rigids (cant afford carbons.....).
Most of the time the bike is used for the 8 mile each way commute, but doubles up on family and occasional off road duties.
What would you guys go for??????

I went for a set of Onza Smart Guys which are rigid alumimium and paid £40 inc p&p, the retail on these is £90 :shock:I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

List price for the Dart 2 forks is around £90.
Cheaper here http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/offe ... goryID=597
Or if you could shell out a little bit more, go for the Toras on that link. The Dart 2s are crap to be honest.0
