What were the Rozzers doing at Chelsea Hospital entrance this morning?

There were six or so Fuzz motorbikes and pilots pulling bikes and motorbikes over and "taking details" - couldn't see why - anyone get collared and did any get told to "shut it sunshine" 70s copper style?
Fixed gear for wet weather / hairy roadie for posing in the sun.

What would Thora Hurd do?

Handing out Lorry/Cyclist safety awareness leaflets. I've got one. Apparently they were also going to pull over lorry drivers as well. Didn't mind that brief interlude but the odyssey through central tourist london after that due to a bit of victoria embankment being shut did my head in.

Probably a traffic senseless. But more likely to make sure that the riders actually have a licence, tax, mot, insurance and so on - I never used to tax or insure bikes (although I have held a licence for year) - generally, your going so quick that no one stops you anyway. But I think allot of immigrants have bought motorbikes as cheap transport and are not following the rules - happens allot in Bristol with small motorbikes and mopeds (usually in cycle lanes!)

Rozzas also check for loud exhausts and the usual safety checks....

Why did they close part of the Embankment though?

Don't know. Don't think it was related to the leaflet campaign. There were loads of sirens blaring as I threaded my way through the west end. (I really wouldn't want to do that route every morning)

Yep - probably had more traffic than usual, but was dodging taxis and lorries all the way.

It had just re-opened by about 8:45 when I went through. Not sure why it was closed, but I saw circa 5 police cars there and they had taped the road off. Any ideas what had happened?

Riding like a tool I'd imagine! It was happening by a traffic light so I assume RLJing. Either way, I don't care, I'm just happy to see the fuzz doing something.
