This morning I am sporting a Specialized micro-fibre shelled Roubaix jacket I brought from Evans in 1996, when Evans was still 'an excellent touring bike shop in The Cut'. I have 2 flo-yello Roubaix jerseys I brought during the same period in regular use.
That's what I call VFM 8)

I have some Specialized SPD shoes (trainer style) that are now around 20 years old, they have been everday I use my bike including Sunday runs on the Felt.
They're an old friend, know them longer than my wife.....
Not bad value eh?

10 pairs of green and white striped rugby socks - stolen from rugby club!0

Gore goretex jacket I bought in 1998, in Brixton Cycles I think. It cost me £120, which I thought was outrageous at the time (but I decided to treat myself as I'd just got a tax refund). It still looks good as new and is smart enough to wear off bike. Far better value for money than the 'bargains' some people seem to love.0

Small t-shirt used as a base layer that I got at the Mod-Aid alldayer in 1985!!! Another similar base layer t-shirt from the National X-Country champs at Newarke in 1988.0

Shimano spd shoes bought in 1998 and they really smell like they are ten years old...!0

Oldest in my cycling wardrobe is a red/white Fagor top and the elastic in the waistband has now perished and the top has shrunk over the years  now used as a sleeveless top, other old and wearing well items are a Karrimor Kalahari jacket and a Goretex jacket both in purple. The Karrimor has needed a new zip and stitching on the rear pockets but apart from that lasted very well, both bought well before 2000.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

A blue Buffalo pertex windshirt, bought in Cotswold Camping, Betws-y-Coed in 1988!
Its a bit faded and has a few snags in the fabric, but is otherwise going strong0 -
Although I don't use it that often now on my commute, a Look Carbon bike from 1990ish - still rides well. I also have quite a few trade team jerseys from around 1990 onwards that are almost as new looking as the day they were bought, but still get regular commuting use.0

Buffalo windshirt ca. 1994 just like don_don (even down to snags and fading) though mine's purple. I keep meaning to reproof it with some TX10 but never get round to it.Aspire not to have more, but to be more.0

A grey and white sweatshirt. It must be 15 years old.0

I've only been bike commuting a year so nothing really to brag about. Probably first cycling specific clothing was a pair of Trek full finger gloves, shortly followed by Nightvision jacket.Bianchi Via Nirone Veloce/Centaur 20100

My helmet must be about 6 years old, maybe more. I'm guessing thats the oldest I still have.
Jasit looks a bit steep to me.....0 -
Further to my earlier reply, the oldest bit of commuting clothing I've got is my skin. Now 37 years old.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

My Adidas MTB shoes - possibly 12 years old.... not used too heavily until the last few years. Still going strong (no not whiffy) !!!0

Ron Hill tracksters bought 1984 for running. Now worn on the bike . They just don't seem to wear out. Perhaps new ones wouldn't e the same quality0

I have a pair of Pete Salisbury shoes - bought in Southampton approx 1976 - still going strong - 100% leather. They have been re-soled but otherwise 'perfect shoes' - as per the logo. Only for the summer tho as they are well ventilated. And no they don't smell at all and yes I am that old!!0
