urghhhhhhhhh.....tell me about it.
I tend to mention to people in a polite way 'You might want to get some lights, you're pretty tricky to spot".
Most people give a guilty 'Yea, I know'.
The exception being a guy in totally black gear, with his hood up, on an MTB with no reflectors...The abuse he gave me was astonishing.
Still, I didn't take it personally, I mearly kept warm in the glow of darwinism being alive and well.<insert witty comment here>
Also, I have calculated my FCN as 12...although I have no idea what that actually means.0 -

That's not a " guilty 'Yea, I know'."
Thats a 'say one more word and I'll break your legs' warning , unless you're bigger than them in which case it's a 'stfu' . :roll:0 -

To be fair, they do look a bit sheepish and genuine about it..and also, I pick my subjects based on a rigerous test. The 'Do they look like double hard bastards" test.
I'll be honest, it has failed me a couple of times, but inconvieniently, never while I could pedal my way out of it.<insert witty comment here>

It's a process that requires patientence.<insert witty comment here>

Hi there,
yesterday evening slipped the front wheel on frozen water when turning at an intersection (not a studded front wheel yet), fell, the front lamp went out from the shock. I was 500 m from home on my way back. Then I was nearly killed by oncoming cars 3 times in the narrow ways and turns between residential blocks in the last 300 meters. Front light is a must.
(And rear lights, and a studded front wheel if it is below 0C).
And, high speed is evil in winter.0 -
I just politely say, "your lights aren't on" or "your lights are not working", even though I know they don't have any.
I think it adds to the chagrin factor0 -

I was driving yesterday at around 6pm and I barely saw a cyclist crawling along the main road on a black bike and dressed in brown and black.
Its ridiculous, I guess some just don't realise how invisible they actually are at night especially if everywhere is lit up like a christmas tree, then the unlit cyclist sort of folds into the ambient darkness between the lights of cars, shops etc.Food Chain number = 4
A true scalp is not only overtaking someone but leaving them stopped at a set of lights. As you, who have clearly beaten the lights, pummels nothing but the open air ahead. ~ 'DondaddyD'. Player of the Unspoken Game0
