gary fisher seat post size?

hi all got hold of a gary fisher bitter frame and looking at putting all new gear on it just wondered what size thge seat post is so i can buy a shim for it so i can stick my carbon one on it

    If u take the post out of the frame the size should be printed on it towards the bottom.

    would have done that but i dont have the seat post that came with the bike thats why i am asking

    dont really know what year think i might of heard someone say that its stamped on the frame some where
    theres some numbers on the underneth the bottom bracket on the frame but carnt see a date
    anyone got any ideas?

    looked at their site already but it dosent state the measurement from what i can see in the full spec bit just the brand of the seat post is given

    might just get a ruler and have a stab at it

    Ruler is not accurate enough mate - there is 0.2mm difference between sizes. Take it to an LBS and get it measured accurately with Vernier Callipers.
